Expansions

Expansions are major downloadable content (DLC) releases for Destiny 2. Each expansion features its own campaign and at least one new destination, representing a large update in terms of content and gameplay. The release of an expansion (with the exception of Curse of Osiris and Warmind) also marks the beginning of a new Year of Destiny 2. Most expansions can be purchased through a platform's official store. However, some can only be purchased from the in-game Eververse store using Silver.

The game's seasonal content, which is tied to the purchase of a Season Pass, is usually considered separate from the expansions.
