Acquisition

Free-to-Play

• 1 can be purchased per week from Master Rahool for 10 Enhancement Prisms and 10,000.
• 1 can be earned by reaching Rank 16 with Banshee-44. Additional Alloys can be earned by reaching Rank 16 after resetting rank.
• In the Crucible Competitive (3v3 Ranked) playlist:
  • Completing all 7 Placement Series matches will reward 1 Alloy, along with a drop of the current Competitive-exclusive weapon. This can only be done once per Season.
  • After completing the Placement Series, 1 Alloy is rewarded from the second tier of the playlist's weekly challenge, which requires the player to complete 6 matches in the Competitive playlist.
• 2 are given during the Reshaping the Enigma quest (although 1 must be used to upgrade The Enigma with an Enhanced Trait, in order to complete the quest).
• 1 is rewarded for completing the Foundry Shaping quest.
• During holiday Live Events, 1 Ascendant Alloy and 1 Ascendant Shard are usually rewarded for completing all Event Challenges before the end of the event.

Season Pass

• Ascendant Alloys can be earned from the paid seasonal rank track (usually 2 per season).

The Witch Queen

• 1 is rewarded for completing the Ascendant Alloy Requisition quest.
• Can be obtained as a random drop from The Witch Queen weekly campaign missions.
  • On Hero difficulty, it is a Rare drop.
  • On Legend difficulty, it is an Uncommon drop.
  • On Master difficulty, it is a Common drop.
• Can be obtained as an Uncommon drop from The Wellspring on Master difficulty.

Lightfall

• Can be obtained as a random drop from Lightfall weekly campaign missions.
  • On Hero difficulty, it is a Rare drop.
  • On Legend difficulty, it is an Uncommon drop.
  • On Master difficulty, it is a Common drop.
• Lightfall + Annual Pass edition: Each "Rahool's Secret Stash" delivery (released once per Year 6 Season) includes 2 Ascendant Alloys. They can be claimed from the Special Deliveries kiosk in the Tower.

Season of the Deep

• 1 can be earned by reaching Rank 10 with the Sonar Station.
• Possible drop from Salvage Legend.

Season of the Witch

• Possible drop from Savathûn's Spire on Legend difficulty.

Season of the Wish

• 1 can be earned by reaching Rank 10 with the Spirit of Riven.
• Possible drop when opening chests after clearing a pathway in The Coil. The drop chance may be improved by using Lair Keys, completing multiple pathways in a single run, or earning enough points to enter the Chamber of Wishes at the end of the fourth pathway.

Usage

Ascendant Alloys are used in Weapon Shaping. They are used to craft enhanced weapon traits. They are also used to craft the catalyst for the Osteo Striga Exotic Submachine Gun.
