Foundry Shaping is a Legendary Quest.
This quest serves as a tutorial for Deepsight Resonance, and its use in unlocking Weapon Patterns. Through this quest, players will unlock the Pattern for the 
Taipan-4fr, a VEIST-manufactured Linear Fusion Rifle, allowing it to be crafted.
1. Foundry Shaping
Description
Acquire the Deepsight Resonance weapon and use it to defeat combatants and complete activities to complete its objective.

2. Foundry Shaping
Description
Complete an offensive activity such as Dares of Eternity or the Wellspring with your Deepsight weapon equipped.

Notes
- Accessing The Wellspring requires ownership of The Witch Queen expansion, as well as completion of the Witch Queen campaign. Players who do not have access to the Wellspring can instead complete a Dares of Eternity activity, which is available for free to all players.
- The second Taipan-4fr with Deepsight Resonance will immediately drop when this quest step is completed.
3. Foundry Shaping
Description
Complete a Deepsight Resonance weapon objective and extract Resonant Elements.

Notes
- At this point, the Weapon Pattern for Taipan-4fr can be unlocked by extracting both of the previously obtained copies of the weapon. However, it is recommended that players wait to craft it until they reach Step 5 of the quest, especially if they already crafted the
Ammit AR2 from the previous quest. This will avoid the need to waste resources by crafting another copy of the weapon.
4. Foundry Shaping
Description
Return to the Relic in the Enclave on Mars.
Objectives

Interaction: Relic Conduit
Deepsight Resonance extraction can award Patterns and Resonant Materials.
Patterns unlock the ability to shape a new weapon using Resonant Materials for customization and fine-tuning.

Notes
- The requirement for unlocking the Taipan-4fr Pattern is 2 Deepsight Resonance extractions, which can be done using the weapons rewarded from the previous steps.
- Dismantling the Deepsight weapons obtained from the previous steps will also give progress toward unlocking the Pattern.
5. Foundry Shaping
Description
At the Relic in the Enclave on Mars, shape either Taipan-4fr or Ammit AR2.

- This objective is not retroactive. If the player crafted either of the weapons before reaching this step, it will not count toward the objective. They will need to shape another copy of either weapon.
6. Foundry Shaping
Description
Level up a Shaped weapon, unlocking new traits and rewarding Resonant Materials by completing activities and defeating combatants.

Description
Return to the Relic in the Enclave on Mars.

As you shape and level weapons, you'll unlock new traits to experiment with.
