The Sonar Station is the seasonal vendor for the Season of the Deep.

Location

It is located in the Wing of the Deep in the H.E.L.M., down the stairs to the left of the landing zone.

SEASON OF THE DEEP INFORMATION

  • Collect Salvage Keys and Deep Dive Keys by completing activities throughout the system.
  • Salvage and Deep Dive Chests containing Seasonal gear can be found at the end of Salvage activities and Deep Dives. Salvage Keys and Deep Dive Keys improve the rewards from their respective chests.
  • Decrypt Deep Engrams, acquired by completing activities and redeeming keys, at the Sonar Station in the H.E.L.M. to claim specific Season of the Deep gear and weapons.
  • Completing Seasonal Challenges in the Seasonal Bonuses category grants Sonar Station Upgrades, which provide a variety of benefits.

Upgrades

Upgrades to the Sonar Station can be obtained by completing certain Seasonal Challenges. In-game, they can be found in the Seasonal Bonuses tab of the Seasonal Challenges menu.

An ammo crate containing Special and Heavy ammo is hidden at each depth in Deep Dive activities. Opening the crate also grants additional objective time.

Sonar Station Reputation

Complete Salvage and Deep Dive activities to increase your Sonar Station Reputation.

Players can increase their rank with the Sonar Station by completing Salvage activities and Deep Dives. Opening chests with Salvage Key icon.jpg Salvage Keys and Deep Dive Key icon.jpg Deep Dive Keys gives additional reputation. Reputation is also gained when releasing Fish into the aquarium in the H.E.L.M., with higher rarity fish being worth more. Collecting Alkane and other plants while underwater in Salvage and Deep Dive activities will also grant small amounts of reputation.

Deep Engram Decoding

Open your Deep Engrams or convert them into your choice of gear using focused decoding.

Deep Engram icon.png Deep Engrams are stored on the Sonar Station's vendor screen, rather than in the player's engram inventory. They can be obtained by ranking up with the Sonar Station, or as drops from Salvage, Deep Dives, and other activities. The Engram Tracker icon.jpg Engram Tracker item, obtained from the War Table, allows the player to keep track of their total Deep Engrams without needing to visit the vendor.

Deep Engrams can be decrypted into random Seasonal gear by selecting them on either the Solar Station vendor screen or the Deep Engram Decoding sub-menu.

Focused Decoding

  • Deep Engram icon.png Deep Engram — 1 Deep Engram icon.png Deep Engram.
    • Note: This option is the same as decrypting an engram from the main vendor screen.

Deep Weapon Focusing

The Deep Weapon Focusing upgrade is required to focus Deep Engrams into Seasonal weapons. A weapon must be unlocked in Collections to focus it.

These weapons have Patterns and can be crafted. If the Deepsight Salvaging upgrade is unlocked, the first weapon purchased in a given week will have Deepsight Resonance. The weapon icons will have red borders to indicate this.

Reckoning Weapon Focusing

The Deep Weapon Focusing upgrade is required to focus Deep Engrams into re-issued Reckoning weapons. A weapon must be unlocked in Collections to focus it. These weapons can also drop when turning in Legendary Fish to the aquarium in the H.E.L.M. Unlike the Deep weapons, these weapons cannot be crafted.

Deep Armor Focusing

The Deep Armor Focusing upgrade is required to focus Deep Engrams into Seasonal armor items. An armor item must be unlocked in Collections to focus it.

Bounties

During the Season of the Deep, the Sonar Station offered 4 daily bounties and repeatable bounties.

As of the Season of the Witch, these bounties are no longer available for purchase.

Daily

The Sonar Station sells 4 daily bounties for Glimmer1.png250 each, with one randomly chosen from each category. They each reward XP+.
