Salvage Key is a Seasonal Currency from the Season of the Deep. It has a maximum capacity of 9,999.

Acquisition
Salvage Keys can be obtained as drops when completing various activities throughout the game.
Usage
A Salvage Key will be automatically consumed if the player has one when opening the chest at the end of a Salvage activity. Using a key will grant improved rewards from the chest.
Upgrades
The following Sonar Station upgrades (unlocked by completing certain Seasonal Challenges listed under "Seasonal Bonuses") can affect the usage of Salvage Keys:
Forgotten Treasures: When you redeem a key in Salvage or Deep Dive activities, you have a chance to earn an additional Deep Engram.
Deep Sea Locksmith: When you redeem a Salvage Key, you have a chance to earn a Deep Dive Key.
