Season of the Worthy is the 10th Season in Destiny 2.

Introduction

SAVE THE LAST CITY

With the Sundial freed from the clutches of the Red Legion, one escaped Psion Flayer enacts a desperate ploy for revenge against the Last City. Guardians of the Light must set aside old differences to band together with unlikely allies and save the City from total destruction.

Changes

Main page: V2.8.0

New Nightfall: the Ordeal difficulty is added: "Grandmaster". This is the highest Ordeal difficulty in Season 10.

The players can change the Elemental Affinity on any piece of Armor to either of the other two elements. Doing so consumes 1 Upgrade Module and brings the armor piece back to tier 1. Keeping it upgraded costs the total upgrade materials necessary to reach that energy value and 1 Upgrade Module.

Seasonal (themed) Armor Mod socket is now able to use mods released during the Seasons before and after the armor piece was released.

Each Sword now has an energy meter that is separate from its ammo and takes up the player character's melee ability slot when they are wielding a Sword. This meter is spent on guarding and heavy attacks. Swords still need at least one ammo to begin guarding, but instead of consuming ammo, guarding uses sword energy. Stronghold Titan Exotic is adjusted accordingly. Grounded light attacks now loop for an infinite combo, and all Swords can cleave. The player is always able to perform a heavy attack, but it is stronger if they have a full sword energy meter, and weaker if they don't. Aerial heavy attacks do not consume sword energy as a general rule, that can vary based on the Sword. A portion of most Sword attacks can partially bypass elemental shields.

Sniper Rifles have their damage reduced. Aggressive Frame Grenade Launchers are now Rapid-Fire Frame Grenade Launchers.

Three Destiny maps are added to the Crucible: Cauldron, Exodus Blue and Anomaly.

Bright Engrams cannot be bought from the Eververse anymore. They can still be received by increasing Seasonal Rank.

Overview

Season 10's Artifact is the Warmind Khanjali, which can be leveled to obtain mods.

During the Season of the Worthy all players are able to participate in the new Seraph Tower public event, which can be found in EDZ, on the Moon and on Io. These three destinations also contain Seraph Bunkers, where players can pick up Rasputin's bounties, buy upgrades, and load into Legendary Lost Sectors.

This Season introduces the Pinnacle 3v3 weekend PvP activity: the Trials of Osiris. It is a variation of the Elimination mode where two teams with three players in each have to defeat all players in the opposing team. Power level advantages are enabled in this activity, but bonus power from the Seasonal Artifact is excluded from the character's Power score. Saint-14 is the announcer of the Trials. When the player wins seven matches without a single loss, they get special access to the Lighthouse and their Trials armor glows.
