Season of the Haunted

Season of the Haunted is the 17th Season in Destiny 2. It took place from May 24, 2022, to August 23, 2022.

Introduction

Leviathan's Return

Power, depravity, vengeance. The object of Calus’s desire has taken many shapes over the years. His once-opulent ship, now derelict and corrupted, has returned to our galaxy—its sights set on the Pyramid ship lying dormant on the Moon.

Solar 3.0 becomes the latest subclass to receive a complete redesign empowered by the ultra-customizable Aspects and Fragments system. Light the flames of creativity, discover new builds, and prove that there’s never a bad time to fight fire with fire.

Every new expansion or season comes with a balance patch. This time around, the changes are mostly focused around some of the abilities in the game, namely the ones in Solar 3.0. There’s also a host of weapon archetype changes, but not as many as we saw in the Bungie 30th Anniversary patch a few months ago.

The Seasonal Artifact is the Nightmare Harvester, which provides Seasonal Mods and additional Power. The Crown of Sorrow is the seasonal vendor, located in the H.E.L.M.

The Leviathan returns as the Derelict Leviathan, now orbiting the Moon. This season's new activities are the Nightmare Containment Public Event, where you have to summon the most challenging Nightmares and cleanse them with fire, and Sever, a weekly mission. The Derelict Leviathan and its associated activities can be accessed from the Moon destination map in the Director.

A new dungeon, Duality, was released. It is available to owners of The Witch Queen Dungeon Key.

The Solstice 2022 Live Event takes place during this season.
