Vestige of Dread is a material from the Season of the Haunted. It has an initial maximum stack size of 2,500, but it can be upgraded to 5,000.
Usage
After completing Tier III of a Nightmare Containment Public Event on the Derelict Leviathan, 500 Vestiges of Dread can be used to bind Nightmares to the Nightmare Harvester. This provides additional rewards, including Haunted weapons and armor.
Acquisition
Vestiges of Dread are found by completing playlist activities (e.g. Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit), opening chests, completing patrols on the Derelict Leviathan, and by defeating combatants and Nightmares anywhere in the system.
Upgrades
The following Crown of Sorrow upgrades can affect acquisition of Vestiges of Dread:
Vestiges of Dread Destination Materials: Derelict Leviathan Petrified Egregore rewards Vestiges of Dread.- Vestiges of Dread Bounties: Crown of Sorrow daily bounties reward Vestiges of Dread.
- Vestiges of Dread Destination Combat Bonus: Increase Vestiges of Dread gained by defeating combatants while on the Derelict Leviathan.
- Vestige Capacity: Increase the maximum amount of Vestiges of Dread that you can carry.
- Vestiges of Dread Destination Chest Bonus: Increase Vestiges of Dread gained by opening chests and completing patrols in Derelict Leviathan free roam.
- Vestige Core Ritual: Increase Vestiges of Dread gained by completing activities in Vanguard, Gambit, and Crucible playlists.
