This page contains the Event Challenges available during the Festival of the Lost 2023 event. Challenges can be viewed in the Event Card, which can be found on the Quests tab in the Director, or on Eva Levante's vendor screen.

Most challenges and their rewards are hidden until the player completes and claims the "Cryptozoologist" challenge as part of the Classic Carving quest.

Event Ticket icon.jpg Event Tickets earned by completing these challenges can be used to unlock rewards if the player has purchased the upgraded Event Card. These tickets will expire when the event ends.

Event Challenges

Completing all 16 challenges (excluding the "Ghost Writer" challenge) will complete the Ghost Writer Triumph Seal, unlocking its title.

Festival of the Lost event challenge icon.png Happy Haunting Ground Complete Haunted Sectors. Higher difficulty Haunted Sectors grant additional progress.
Festival of the Lost event challenge icon.png Ghost Writer Complete Event Challenges during the Festival of the Lost. Progress resets at the end of the event.
  • Progress: 16
  1. ↑ Purchasing 3 Epic Mystery Grab Bags will complete the "Mystery Meet" challenge.
  2. ↑ Both Special and Heavy Grenade Launcher kills count toward the "Pumpkin Peltin'" challenge.
  3. ↑ For the "Happy Haunting Ground" challenge, regular Haunted Sectors give 1 point each, while Legend Haunted Sectors give 2 points.

Gilding Triumphs

These Triumphs only appear on the Ghost Writer Triumph Seal. Completing these challenges will gild the Ghost Writer title if the Triumph Seal has been completed. Title gilding resets annually.

  1. ↑ Master difficulty Lost Sectors count toward the "Masked Mayhem" Triumph, giving 1 point for each completion while wearing a Festival Mask.

Patch History

  • 7.2.5.1[1]
    • Fixed an issue where the ship Nyxpteron icon1.jpg Nyxpterón, which is earned from the Bookworm III event challenge, was not available in Collections once acquired.
    • Fix an issue where the Event Challenge Heads Will Roll could only be progressed by defeating Headless Ones in Legend Haunted Sectors.
