Cryptic Quatrains III is a Legendary Quest from the Season of Plunder. It is obtained from the 
Large Treasure Beacon, which is rewarded for reaching Rank 16 with the Star Chart vendor in the H.E.L.M. This quest is preceded by Cryptic Quatrains I and Cryptic Quatrains II.
Each step of this quest presents the player with a riddle to solve. In-game, keywords in the quest step descriptions are highlighted in a golden font color, hinting at the solution. Solutions to the riddles will be included in the Notes sub-sections of each step on this page.
1. Cryptic Quatrains III
Interaction: Star Chart
You eagerly press the switch on the Treasure Beacon and a hidden compartment pops open. You pull out a folded piece of parchment used by a desperate pirate during a daring escape.

- Travel to the Sunken Isles in the European Dead Zone (EDZ), found in the top left corner of the map. Enter and complete The Quarry Lost Sector, then open the chest after defeating the boss.

Notes
- Complete the Exodus Crash strike, which can be launched from the Nessus map, without dying. Be careful of Fallen Pike vehicles at the start, death pits, trip mines, and Exploder Shanks.

- Complete a Ketchcrash mission (accessed from the H.E.L.M. map) with a Hand Cannon and an Arc subclass (Striker, Arcstrider, or Stormcaller, depending on class) equipped.

Notes
- Complete Cryptic Quatrains I and Cryptic Quatrains II, which are obtained from the
Small Treasure Beacon and Medium Treasure Beacon, respectively. Each of these quests rewards a 
Crude Cipher Fragment. When both Fragments have been obtained, the 
Crude Cipher treasure map can be restored in the 
Captain's Atlas. Insert the Crude Cipher into the Atlas's Treasure Map socket to progress the quest.

Notes
- A secret compartment will appear in the Captain's Atlas after restoring the Crude Cipher treasure map. There are three sockets where three different Eliksni sigils can be inserted. Insert
House of Dusk into the left slot, 
House of Salvation into the center slot, and 
House of Light into the right slot. The secret compartment will disappear when the correct combination is inserted.

Notes
- Travel to the Forgotten Shore in the Cosmodrome. On the south side of the area is a beached ship that contains the entrance to the Veles Labyrinth Lost Sector. The front side of the boat has a mast sticking out of it. On the deck of the ship, between the mast and the bow, is a green Eliksni symbol. Interact with it to progress the quest.

Notes
- In the Forgotten Shore in the Cosmodrome, head to the north side of the area. A stream flows into the sector from the exit leading to the Mothyards. Three pillars sit at the bank of the stream, at the bottom of a cliff with a small building on top of it. Behind the pillars, a small cave can be found in the rock wall. Inside the cave, interact with the mound marked with a green Eliksni symbol to complete the quest and obtain the reward.
