Ketchcrash is an Offensive seasonal activity added in the Season of Plunder. Players in a team of six will board a rival pirate Ketch, fighting a crew made up of Fallen and Cabal.

Overview

Ketchcrash can be launched from an icon on the H.E.L.M. map in the Director. It is first accessed through the Ahoy and Aweigh quest. Master Ketchcrash is unlocked by completing Pirate Hideout: The Brute as part of the first week of the Sails of the Shipstealer quest.

The boss cycles in the following order: Aye-I, Ransaaks, and Skiffiks. The current boss is displayed as a modifier when launching the activity. At the start of the Season, the boss rotated weekly. As of the week of November 15, 2022, the boss rotates daily.[1]

Crewmates

The following upgrades allow players to temporarily summon hired crewmates at specific banners located in Ketchcrash. A banner will be located at each of the Below Deck encounters, as well as at the final boss. The banner is chosen at random. Activating it will summon the crewmate for a short period of time. When the crewmate leaves, they can be re-summoned by interacting with the banner again.

Walkthrough

Top Deck

The activity starts with Fallen Skiffs dropping enemies onto your Ketch, including Dregs, Vandals, Marauders, and Captains. Spider's Associates are here to help, but won't be very effective at fending off the enemies on their own.

When the pirates have been repelled, players need to align the cannon accelerators. There are four accelerator circles around the deck. Standing in them will align the nearby cannon, firing off a cannonball when it completes. Enemies will continue dropping in, and will interrupt this process if they enter one of the circles. On Master difficulty, be careful not to get overwhelmed by the invisible Marauders when defending the cannons.

When enough cannons have been fired, the cannon at the front of the ship will activate, allowing the team to launch themselves across to the enemy ship.

Below Deck

When the team enters the Ketch, they must interact with a console to gain access to the ship. One of the three doors will open, leading to the next encounter: the left door leads to the Ether Storage, the center door leads to the Treasure Hoard, and the right door leads to the Maintenance Bay. The door that opens is random, even on Master difficulty. A Raid Banner can also be placed before interacting with the console.

Captain's Quarters

After completing the first encounter, the team will arrive at the captain's quarters, where the boss will be waiting with a group of enemies. The boss will leave shortly after being damaged. When all of the enemies are cleared out, another console must be interacted with. A Raid Banner can also be placed here.

The door to the next encounter will open. It will be chosen at random from the Ether Storage, Treasure Hoard, or Maintenance Bay. The only guarantee is that the previous room will not be chosen.

When players complete the second encounter, they will arrive at the Top Deck. A Raid Banner can be placed before interacting with a console, which will initiate the boss fight.
