Subclasses
Each class has an Arc subclass, with abilities that deal Arc damage:
- Titan — Striker;
- Hunter — Arcstrider;
- Warlock — Stormcaller.
Aspects

Aspects are items that modify a subclass, adding new abilities or modifying existing ones. Each class has their own unique set of Aspects for each of their subclasses.
A subclass can equip up to two Aspects at a time. Equipping an Aspect unlocks a certain number of slots for equipping that subclass's Fragments.
Fragments

Fragments are items that can be equipped to a subclass to provide passive bonuses to that subclass. Equipping a Fragment may also grant Stat Increases, or inflict Stat Penalties. Fragments are not tied to specific classes, and are available to obtain for all subclasses of a given element type.
Weapons
Energy and Power Weapons can deal Arc damage.
Energy weapons deal less damage than Kinetic against unshielded enemies, but deal more damage to the elemental shields, and even more if the weapon's element matches the shield's. Destroying an Arc shield with Arc weapon or ability causes an explosion that damages enemies in a certain radius near the target.
Armor
Character armor has elemental types that determine which Mods can be installed into it.
Arc mods can be installed only into Arc armor. They mostly revolve around Combat Bows, Pulse Rifles, Machine Guns, Shotguns and Swords, as well as melee abilities, and also provide resistance to Arc damage.
Enemies
Some of the enemies are surrounded by elemental shields which soak a certain amount of incoming damage. Enemies can also deal elemental damage.
Arc shields are used by:
- Fallen — Captains;
- Hive — Knights (elite);
- Cabal — Legionaries (elite);
- Vex — Harpies (elite);
- Taken — Taken Centurions.
Arc weapons are used by:

- Cabal —
- Taken —
- Scorn —
Although there are occurrences where these enemies have different shields, and it is possible for them to wield different weapons.
Singe
Elemental singe is a heroic modifier that is changed weekly. During Arc singe, both players and enemies deal more damage with Arc weapons and abilities, and the players can complete one of the Vanguard Challenges by completing strikes in Arc subclasses.

These keywords are associated with Arc:
Amplified
Your movement speed and weapon handling are increased. After sprinting for a short time, your movement speed is further increased.
Rapidly defeating targets with Arc damage make you amplified.
Ionic Trace
A bolt of pure Arc energy that travels along the ground, seeking toward its creator. When picked up, Ionic Traces grant ability energy.
Jolted
The target is energized with destructive Arc Light. They take additional damage while jolted and chain lightning to nearby targets.
Jolt damage causes Overload Champions to be stunned.
Blind
Combatants are disoriented and cannot fire their weapons. Opposing Guardians' HUD is removed and their vision is obscured.
When blinded, Unstoppable Champions are stunned.
