Biography
Calus rose to power by overthrowing the old Cabal military aristocracy and ruled the empire for centuries through indulgence and excess. He was eventually deposed in a coup led by Dominus Ghaul and cast out aboard his pleasure-barge flagship, the Leviathan. His daughter, Empress Caiatl, would later lead the Cabal in his place.
Adrift in the cosmos, Calus encountered the Witness and became convinced that the universe was approaching its end. He first sought to recruit Guardians as his "Shadows," opening the Leviathan over Nessus, before finally surrendering himself completely to the Witness and being remade as a Disciple.
Boss encounters
A robotic proxy of Calus served as the final boss of the Leviathan raid. As a Disciple, Calus returned as the final boss of the Lightfall campaign, where he was killed by the Guardian.
