Shrieker is a Hive enemy. They are floating Hive sentries built from dead matter and Void energy.

Overview
Shriekers guard key areas and are dangerous turrets rather than mobile units. In the original Destiny they sealed themselves shut and were invulnerable until they opened to fire; in Destiny 2 they expose an eye that points where they are about to shoot.
Combat
A Shrieker fires clusters of seeking Void bolts and, in its original form, releases a burst of homing bolts when destroyed.
Strategy
Hit the eye when it opens, keep moving to dodge the seeking bolts, and stay mobile after the kill in case of a death-burst.
