Lightbearer Knights are Hive Knights that have been risen by a Ghost, granting them the power to wield the Light and be resurrected endlessly so long as their Ghost remains intact.

Overview
Lightbearer Knights are among the most dangerous enemies introduced in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. As Hive warriors blessed with the Light, they possess all the abilities of Guardian Titans, making them formidable opponents that can match Guardians in combat.
Appearance
Lightbearer Knights can be distinguished from regular Knights by their:
- Grey skin tone
- Larger, more imposing stature
- Alabaster-white armor covered in spikes
- Glowing Light-based energy emanating from their forms
Combat Abilities
Class Abilities
All Lightbearer Knight variants can deploy a Titan Barricade that:
- Provides cover from enemy fire
- Allows them to shoot through while protected
- Must be destroyed or circumvented to damage the Knight
Subclass Variants
Sentinel Knight (Void)
- Weapon: Shredder
- Grenade: Suppressor Grenades (disable Guardian abilities)
- Tactics: Defensive, stays near allies, provides cover support

Striker Knight (Arc)
- Weapon: Boomer
- Grenade: Lightning Grenades (periodic area damage)

Sunbreaker Knight (Solar)

Combat Strategy
Defeating Lightbearers
- Deplete the Lightbearer Knight's health completely
- Their Ghost will appear over their corpse
- Critical: Crush the Ghost with a Finisher within 10 seconds
- If the Ghost is not destroyed, the Knight resurrects at full health
Tips
- Lightbearers take reduced damage while their Super is active
- They can regenerate health if left alone while damaged
- Their attacks deal high elemental damage, potentially one-shotting Guardians
- Unlike most Ultras, they are susceptible to Finishers
- Focus fire and coordinate with teammates to quickly eliminate them

Lore
The creation of Hive Lightbearers represents Savathûn's greatest heresy against the Sword Logic. By stealing the Light and granting it to her brood, she fundamentally changed the nature of the Hive's existence, allowing them to transcend death through resurrection rather than through the traditional Throne World mechanics.
Trivia
- Lightbearer Knights were the first enemies in Destiny to wield the same Light-based abilities as Guardians
- Despite their significance, they have not appeared in any Raids or Dungeons
