Lightbearer Acolytes represent a fundamental disruption to traditional Hive hierarchy and the Sword Logic. Through Savathûn's machinations, these former Acolytes have been chosen by Ghosts and granted the power of the Light, allowing them to wield Solar abilities similar to Hunter Guardians. They are among the most dangerous standard enemies introduced in The Witch Queen expansion.

Lore
Lightbearer Acolytes emerged when Savathûn was resurrected by the Ghost Immaru. Guardianless Ghosts were drawn to the Throne World and began resurrecting dead Hive, creating the Lucent Brood. This fundamental change disrupted millions of years of Hive tradition:
- No longer require Sword Logic tithing
- Symbiotic Worms remain sated without bloodshed
- Represent Savathûn's vision of Hive evolution
The Lore Book "Lucent Tales" reveals that Hive Ghosts feel genuine devotion to their partners and believe they fulfill the Traveler's will, experiencing the same bond as Guardian Ghosts.
Variants
- Lightbearer Acolyte: Standard variant
