The Donations Chest is a vendor introduced in the second to last week of the Season of Plunder as part of the Eliksni Quarter community event. It appears in the Tower Courtyard, across from the landing zone. It was removed at the end of the Season.[1]
Players can interact with the chest to acquire the quest A Rising Tide. The community is encouraged to donate 
Captain's Coins and other "treasure" items to the chest to fund improvements for the Eliksni Quarter, with possibilities for additional rewards in return.

Collect Captain's Coins from Ketchcrash and Expedition activities, destination chests, Lost Sectors, public events, Dares of Eternity, and the "King's Fall" raid.
Donate the Captain's Coins here at the Donations Chest to help Mithrax and Spider improve the Eliksni Quarter.

Donations
Players can donate the following items to the chest. All items are worth 1 treasure each. When donating an item, the player's entire stock of that item will be donated at once.
Captain's Coins
- With Community Goal IV: Recruits unlocked, an
Eliksni Quarter Gift Box can be purchased in exchange for a donation of 1,000 Captain's Coins.
- With Community Goal IV: Recruits unlocked, an
Map Fragments (with Community Goal I: Cleanup unlocked)
Treasure Coordinates (with Community Goal II: The Ether Tank unlocked)- Destination Materials (with Community Goal III: Comforts unlocked), including:
Only two types of Destination Materials are available to donate at a time, rotating daily.
It is worth noting that Destination Materials will no longer be obtainable after the start of the next Season. Players will only be able to sell them to Master Rahool for 
Glimmer.[2] However, with all Community Goals met, these materials will only count toward the Personal Rewards and the global donation amount. Once all Personal Rewards have been earned, there is no reward for donating anything except Captain's Coins, aside from further increasing the global count.
Personal Rewards
These rewards are granted to the player based on the amount of treasure they have donated personally.

Community Goals
These goals are met based on the amount of treasure donated by all players. The global treasure donation count is displayed on the Donations Chest's vendor screen, as well as on the A Rising Tide quest, and is updated every 15 minutes. Each goal achieved unlocks an improvement in the Eliksni Quarter, which can be accessed from the H.E.L.M. map in the Director. Interacting with an improvement will progress the A Rising Tide quest and play some dialogue. Each goal also unlocks an additional bonus related to the event.
The final goal was achieved on November 23, 2022 at 10:27am (PST), about 25 hours after the event began. The global treasure count stopped increasing when it reached 2,147,483,647 (the largest value that can be stored in a signed 32-bit integer) on November 28, 2022, at 7:19am (PST).[3]
