Solstice Engrams are special Engrams available during the annual Solstice event (formerly Solstice of Heroes) in Destiny 2. These engrams contain exclusive cosmetic items, armor glows, and other seasonal rewards specific to the summer celebration event.

Overview
Solstice Engrams were first introduced during the inaugural Solstice of Heroes event in 2018. Initially, players could earn these engrams alongside regular Bright Engrams when leveling up during the event. The engrams contained exclusive cosmetic items that could only be obtained during the Solstice event period.
Acquisition Methods
Original System (2018-2019)
- Earned one Solstice Engram per account by completing the event Milestone on each character (maximum 3 per account)
- Received alongside Bright Engrams upon leveling up during the event
- No duplicate protection initially implemented
Current System
Starting in Year 2, Bungie removed the engram drop system for Solstice events. Instead:
- All Eververse items are directly purchasable with Silver or Bright Dust
- No items are exclusive to Silver purchases
- Event items rotate through the Eververse store weekly

- 2020-onwards: Direct purchase model, no engram drops
- Focus shifted to armor acquisition through event activities rather than engrams

In recent years, Solstice Packages replaced engrams as the primary reward mechanism:
