• This weapon is a reference to the energy sword from the Halo series, which was created by Bungie.
  • The name "Half-Truths" refers to the fact that it resembles half of the original energy sword. The Other Half is meant to be the other half of the energy sword.
  • The name may also be a reference to the Prophet of Truth from the Halo series, who was killed by an energy sword.
  • The Eager Edge perk is a reference to the energy sword's ability to lunge at targets when aiming directly at them. The perk's icon features a symbol that is very similar to the energy sword's targeting reticle.
