Walkthrough
Embarkation
Players begin on a catwalk outside Vesper Station. Proceed along the walkway into a hangar filled with Fallen enemies. Clear the room to spawn two Viral Carriers: a Vandal with the Viral Scanner augment and another with the Viral Operator augment. These augments have a 60-second timer, killing the holder if not deposited into an Augment Terminal.
The Viral Scanner (yellow) marks panels on the player's radar as yellow hexagons. Approaching a panel will either turn the hexagon white (indicating a correct panel) or make it disappear. Identify the four correct panels, then use the Viral Operator (red) to shoot them. Shooting an incorrect panel causes instant death. Once all four panels are shot, the airlock opens, allowing progression to the next area.
Activation
Players enter a large room with a white spherical AI at the center and three doorways marked with symbols: a yellow brain (front-left), a red heart (back-right), and blue lungs (back-left). Interact with the sphere to start the encounter, spawning a Brig and Fallen enemies.
Kill the Brig to spawn a Viral Carrier Vandal with the Viral Scanner. Enter any of the three marked doorways with active red lights. Clear enemies, including Machine Priest's Assistant Marauders, to lower barriers. In the next room, deposit the Viral Scanner into an Augment Terminal to reset its timer. Use the Viral Scanner to identify four correct panels (white hexagons on radar). Kill a Viral Carrier Vandal to obtain the Viral Operator, then shoot the four correct panels to spawn a Nuclear Core.
Carry the Nuclear Core back to the central room, accumulating Radiation stacks (lethal at 10 stacks). Drop the core or pass it to a teammate to manage Radiation. A new Brig spawns in the central room, shielding the deposit bins. Kill the Brig, then deposit the Nuclear Core into one of the three bins behind the sphere. Repeat this process for the other two rooms. The final Brig is larger and tougher. Depositing all three cores completes the encounter, unlocking the back-right door.
Infiltration
Players enter a maze-like area patrolled by Raneiks Unified, a massive Servitor boss. Interact with an Eliksni computer to gain the Power Reserves buff, allowing players to open BrayTech doors (costs one pip) and close them (gains one pip), with a maximum of four pips. Raneiks Unified uses an Integration attack, tethering players with a purple beam that kills after a few seconds unless line-of-sight is broken.
The objective is to deposit five Nuclear Cores into numbered bins (1–5) in order. Captains drop Nuclear Cores when killed, often spawning near bins after a deposit. Manage Power Reserves to navigate the maze, closing doors to maintain pips. Avoid Raneiks Unified’s Integration beam by hiding behind walls or doors. The bin locations are:
- Bin 1: From the starting computer, go left, turn left at the corner, and find the Captain and bin straight ahead.
- Bin 2: Exit Bin 1’s room to the right, turn right, and enter the door ahead.
- Bin 3: Exit Bin 2’s room opposite the entrance, turn right, and find the bin near the first Captain’s spawn.
- Bin 4: After depositing in Bin 3, large doors open upstairs. Enter, kill the Captain, exit right, deactivate a shield, and cross the hall to find the bin.
- Bin 5: Exit Bin 4’s room, turn right, enter the door ahead, go upstairs through two doors, exit left, turn right around the corner, and enter the left door.
After depositing the fifth core, a large door opens. Avoid Raneiks Unified’s explosives and drop into a hole to the left to complete the encounter.
Dismemberment
This encounter pits players against Raneiks Unified. The room has 10 numbered panels (0–9, with 0 representing 10). The goal is to identify four glowing Servitors, shoot their corresponding panels, and damage the boss.
Clear Fallen enemies until a Viral Carrier Shank spawns with the Viral Operator. Kill it and deposit the augment into an Augment Terminal. Continue killing enemies until a Machine Priest Captain spawns. Kill it to teleport to an upper area with Raneiks Unified and Shanks. Clear Shanks, including a Viral Carrier Tracer Shank with the Viral Suppressor augment.
Use the Viral Suppressor (blue) to replace the grenade ability with a hologram. Deploy it near Raneiks Unified and shoot it to detonate, splitting the boss into 10 smaller Servitors (Raneiks-1 to Raneiks-10). Two Servitors glow with red orbs. Note their numbers (for example Raneiks-2 and Raneiks-7). Return to the starting room via the main tunnel or a safer side hallway, depositing the Viral Suppressor.
Repeat the process to identify two more glowing Servitors, yielding four unique numbers. Retrieve the Viral Operator and shoot the four corresponding panels. Raneiks Unified descends, and a Viral Carrier Tracer Shank spawns with the Viral Suppressor. Use the hologram to split Raneiks Unified again, making the four marked Servitors vulnerable. Use area-of-effect weapons (for example Parasite, Wave-Frame Grenade Launcher) or Supers (for example Consecration) to damage them within the 15-second window. Repeat until Raneiks Unified’s health is nearly depleted, then destroy each individual Servitor to complete the encounter.
Acceleration
Players traverse the station’s exterior, dodging orange lightning strikes from a magnetic storm. These strikes, marked by orange circles, deal heavy Arc damage and electrify the ground. Jump across debris to reach the final boss arena, where The Corrupted Puppeteer awaits near a large orange anomaly ring.
Shutdown
The final encounter against The Corrupted Puppeteer, a corrupted Fallen Exo resembling Atraks-1, combines all prior mechanics. The fight cycles through three phases: Entrance, Shield, and Damage.
Entrance Phase
In the main room, The Corrupted Puppeteer spawns Broken Puppet clones with Radiation auras, lethal at 10 stacks. Kill a Viral Carrier to obtain the Viral Suppressor, then use the hologram to make Broken Puppets vulnerable. Clear two pairs of Broken Puppets to spawn Viral Carriers with the Viral Scanner and Viral Operator.
Use the Viral Scanner to check four numbered pillars (1–4). The pillar with a white hexagon on the radar indicates the blue number (for example 2). The Viral Operator must shoot the four red panels with that number (for example all 2s). Deposit all augments into Augment Terminals, then follow flashing red lights through a tube to the Lower Stacks.
Shield Phase
The Lower Stacks consist of two central rooms (blue and orange) connected by trap-laden corridors and two purge rooms. Follow flashing red lights to the purge room with The Corrupted Puppeteer. Retrieve augments from Augment Terminals. Use the Viral Suppressor to clear Broken Puppets. The Viral Operator shoots four red panels in the room to start the Sector Purge Countdown. The Viral Scanner identifies the correct Broken Puppet clone (white hexagon) among four. Kill it to obtain a Nuclear Core, then deposit it in the central bunker to activate the purge, removing half of The Corrupted Puppeteer’s shield.
Exit via the lower staircase door, navigate traps (mines, tripwires), and reach the other purge room. Repeat the process to remove the remaining shield. Return to the central room via the teleporter, then enter the airlock to launch to the Damage Phase.
Damage Phase
On the station’s exterior, damage The Corrupted Puppeteer while dodging lightning strikes. Use burst-damage weapons (for example Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher) or Supers (for example Golden Gun, Thundercrash). Broken Puppets and clones spawn, with one glowing Broken Puppet dropping a Nuclear Core. When “The Corrupted Puppeteer communes with the Anomaly” appears, grab the Nuclear Core and deposit it in the left bunker to survive the wipe mechanic. After the bunker opens, continue damaging until the second wipe mechanic. Jump into the airlock to return to the main room.
Repeat the Entrance, Shield, and Damage Phases until The Corrupted Puppeteer is defeated. Collect loot, including a chance for the Ice Breaker Exotic Sniper Rifle, and interact with a nearby screen to advance the Rogue Network quest.
Rewards
Each encounter has a specific loot pool, with new items obtainable once per week per class. Encounters can be farmed for rerolls of unlocked gear. Two secret chests drop random rolls of previously acquired gear. Master difficulty drops Artifice Armor.
