The Dead Orbit Faction rewards the player for turning in Dead Orbit Tokens. Each activity will reward varying amounts of tokens upon completion; handing these in to Arach Jalaal in The Tower is currently the only way to increase standing with this faction. Each rank-up will award the player a Dead Orbit Engram that contains Faction-themed equipment and shaders.

• This Faction is always accessible, but will only accept tokens during a Faction Rally live event.
• Tokens may be acquired in the following quantities:
  • Completion of a Strike: 5 to 7 tokens.
  • Completion of a Nightfall Strike: 10 to 18 tokens.
  • Completion of a Heroic Public Event: 5 tokens.
  • Completion of a Lost Sector: 3 tokens.
  • Completion of a Crucible Quickplay match: 2 tokens (5 tokens total for a victory).
