Terminal Overload is a public activity introduced in Lightfall that takes place in Neomuna. It is the primary endgame activity for the destination, featuring battles against both Vex and Shadow Legion forces as they vie for control of the city's systems.

Overview
Terminal Overload is a public event for up to six Guardians that involves defending Neomuna from dual invasions. The activity rotates between three locations daily and features multiple phases culminating in a boss battle.
Unlocking Terminal Overload
To access Terminal Overload, players must:
- Complete all missions in the Lightfall campaign
- Complete the "Welcome to the Hall of Heroes" quest
- Obtain and complete the Stargazer quest from Nimbus, which serves as a tutorial for the activity
After reaching Rank 11 with Nimbus, players can launch Terminal Overload directly from the map node.
Locations and Rotation
Terminal Overload rotates daily between three locations in Neomuna:
- Ahimsa Park - Rewards the Void Shotgun Basso Ostinato
- Zephyr Concourse - Rewards the Strand Submachine Gun Synchronic Roulette
- Liming Harbor - Rewards the Strand Machine Gun Circular Logic
The location changes at daily reset (9 AM PST / 12 PM EST / 5 PM GMT).
Mechanics
Starting the Activity
Players will find a Psion surrounded by three Darkness fragments. Destroying these fragments initiates the activity.
Phases
The activity consists of three main phases:
- Sync Plate Defense - Stand on sync plates while fighting enemies until the timer threshold is met
- Vex Node Destruction - Defeat glowing Vex to obtain an Arc Cranium, then use it to destroy Vex nodes
- Boss Battle - Defeat the final boss while managing shield mechanics
Shield Mechanics
When bosses reach 2/3 and 1/3 health, they gain shields. Players must shoot marked crystals in the area to remove these shields and continue dealing damage.

Players with a Terminal Overload Key can open a special chest that guarantees:
Weapon Rotation
Synchronic Roulette and Circular Logic can roll with the Hatchling perk, spawning Threadlings on precision final blows.

- Stargazer Quest - Teaches players about keys and grants the ability to collect them
- Daily Bounty - At Rank 13 with Nimbus, unlock a guaranteed daily key bounty
- Random Drops - Complete public events, Lost Sectors, and patrols in Neomuna
