Into the Light (update)

Into the Light is a content update intended to fill in the gap between Season of the Wish and The Final Shape. The content update was released during the Season of the Wish, alongside Version 7.3.6, on April 9, 2024.

Introduction

Overview

The update adds a new 3-player game mode, Onslaught, which is free for all players. Guardians fight to defend the Last City from the forces of the Witness in increasing difficulty. Onslaught rewards can be redeemed in the new social space, Hall of Champions. Trophies of Bravery can be used to open a chest that gives weapons from the BRAVE Arsenal, while attunement for specific weapons can unlocked by completing quests from Arcite 99-40; the limited edition version of these weapons can earned up until the launch of the Final Shape on June 4. Players can earn the Superblack Shader by increasing Hype rank with Lord Shaxx through Onslaught and completing all of the quests from Arcite 9940.

The event launch also included the return of the Whisper and Zero Hour Exotic missions. The return of these two missions also makes the Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected craftable at the Relic. The Whisper releases on launch while Zero Hour releases on May 14.

The update introduces Pantheon, a new raid activity where Guardians fight through raid bosses of increasing difficulty, launching on April 30. In addition, players will be to change the appearance of their Guardian; however, they are unable to change their origin.
