Terminal Overload Key is a Legendary Redeemable added in Lightfall. It has a maximum stack size of 5.

Acquisition
Terminal Overload Keys can drop when completing various activities in the Neomuna patrol zone, including patrol beacons, Public Events, and Terminal Overload. Keys that are dropped when the player has 5 Keys in their inventory will go to the Postmaster, which can also hold a stack of 5.
Reaching Rank 13 with Nimbus unlocks the 
Terminal Overload Key Bounty upgrade, which grants access to a Terminal Overload daily bounty from Nimbus. This bounty will reward a Terminal Overload Key when completed.
Usage
Completing Stage 3 of the Terminal Overload Public Event in Neomuna will spawn a pair of chests. The chest on the left can be opened for free, while the chest on the right requires a Terminal Overload Key to open. Opening the Key chest has a chance to drop the current sector's unique weapon:
Circular Logic (Machine Gun) in Zephyr Concourse;
Basso Ostinato (Shotgun) in Ahimsa Park;
Synchronic Roulette (Submachine Gun) in Límíng Harbor.
Reaching Rank 15 with Nimbus unlocks the 
Upgrade Terminal Overload Key Chest upgrade. This will guarantee a drop of the current sector's unique weapon from the Key chest.
The normal chest can randomly drop any of the three weapons, as well as World Loot Pool gear. Crafted weapon progress will only be granted when opening the Key chest, not the normal chest.[1]
