Operation: Seraph's Shield

Operation: Seraph's Shield is an Exotic mission from the Season of the Seraph. It tied into The Hidden Shape Exotic quest, which rewarded the Revision Zero Exotic Pulse Rifle after completing the activity for the first time, unlocking its Pattern for Weapon Shaping. Upgrades to the weapon's Hunter's Trace Intrinsic perk were granted on subsequent completions. The "Should You Choose to Accept It" series of quests allowed the weapon's catalyst traits to be unlocked for use on the weapon, requiring the player to complete the mission on Legend difficulty to earn them. The mission could be accessed from the H.E.L.M. map after starting Week 3 of the More Than a Weapon seasonal story quest.

The mission was removed from the game and added to the Destiny Content Vault with the release of Lightfall. As a result, Revision Zero is not currently obtainable. Operation: Seraph's Shield will return in Season 22 as part of an Exotic mission rotator, along with Presage and Vox Obscura.

Modifiers

• Mettle: The activity is at a fixed difficulty. Your effective Power is capped at 1580.
• Legendary: Heavily shielded and highly aggressive combatants appear in great numbers.
• Chaff: Radar is disabled.
• Galvanized: Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun.

Rewards

Any Difficulty

• At the end of the mission, two chests will appear: the left chest drops Legendary World Loot Pool gear, while the right chest drops Legendary Season of the Seraph gear.
  • The right chest only appears on the first completion of the week.
  • Legend difficulty rewards more gear drops.
• Each hidden chest drops 2 Resonate Stems and one Season of the Seraph weapon.
  • One chest is found in the final room, behind a locked door. The door can be opened by using the Scanner augment earlier in the mission to destroy a group of Fallen scanner drones in a specific order.
  • One chest is found in the room where two Shriekers appear with some Cleaver-wielding Knights. With the Tactical Armor upgrade from the Exo Frame, the player can pass through a nearby wall of lasers into a dark room, where the chest can be found.
  • The chests can only be opened once per week. On subsequent runs, they will not appear if opened previously.
• Revision Zero (Exotic Pulse Rifle) — The Hidden Shape quest reward. Speak to the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. after first completion to obtain it.
• Revision Zero upgraded Intrinsic perks:
  • Hunter's Trace II — Drops on second completion.
  • Hunter's Trace III — Drops on third completion.
  • Hunter's Trace IV — Drops on fourth completion.
• Enhanced Resonance Amp — Replaces the Resonance Amp after first completion.
• There are 4 Warmind Nodes that can be found in the mission using the Enhanced Resonance Amp. If the player has the correct Override Frequency, then interacting with one will drop an IKELOS v1.0.3 weapon with Deepsight Resonance. Each node can only be interacted with once.
• There are 12 Security Drones found within the mission that can be destroyed using Revision Zero. They reward Seraphic Umbral Energy when destroyed.
  • Destroying all 50 drones, including those found in other areas of the game, unlocks the door in the room after the spacewalk section.

• During the spacewalk segment, falling to one's death will play the same animation as the Rag Doll emote before the player dies.
