Dawning Memento is a Legendary Memento. It has a maximum capacity of 1.
Acquisition
The Dawning Memento can only be acquired during the Dawning event.
During the 2023 event, completing the Winter Night quest will reward a Dawning Memento. After completing the quest, additional Dawning Mementos can be acquired as random drops when opening 
A Gift in Return, as long as the player does not already have one in their inventory.
Usage
A Dawning Memento can be inserted into a shaped weapon when shaping or reshaping it. It will unlock the following cosmetic bonuses when the weapon reaches certain levels:
- Level 1: Unlocks the
Dawning Memento Tracker perk, alongside the 
Kill Tracker and 
Crucible Tracker perks that are normally on the weapon. - Level 20: Unlocks the "Winter Night" title, visible only on the weapon's Details screen.
- Level 30: Unlocks the
Rime Keepsake Shader for use on the weapon.
Mementos are one-time consumables; if one is slotted into a weapon and then removed or replaced with a different memento, it will be lost, along with any bonuses it unlocked.
