Cayde-6 is an Exo who served as the Hunter Vanguard and is one of the most beloved characters in Destiny 2. His vendor role was removed in Forsaken, the expansion in which he was killed.
Biography
Like all Exos, Cayde-6 began life as a human mind housed in a robotic war-frame. As Hunter Vanguard he was famous among Guardians for his reckless humor and his preference for the field over the duties of command. His Ghost was Sundance, and he carried the iconic hand cannon Ace of Spades.
During the Forsaken campaign, Cayde was murdered by Prince Uldren Sov during a mass breakout at the Prison of Elders — an event that sent the Guardian and Petra Venj on a hunt for vengeance across the Tangled Shore.
Years later, during The Final Shape, Cayde-6 was restored within the Pale Heart of the Traveler. He fought alongside the Vanguard once more before passing the mantle of Hunter Vanguard to Crow.
Location
Cayde could be found in two separate locations throughout the game:
- The Farm — the first social space available to the players prior to New Light. Cayde-6 arrived to the Farm after the completion of Fury story mission, and left it after the player completed the Red War campaign.
- The Tower — Cayde-6's main location prior to Forsaken. He could be found in the Hangar, staring at the sign which counts "Days Since the Last Accident". His pet chicken can be found there now.

Scout Reports
The Scout Reports detected nearby Loot Caches in a specific Destination. Each used to cost 
1250.
- Scout Report: EDZ — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches in the EDZ for them and their fireteam.
- Scout Report: Titan — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches on Titan for them and their fireteam.
- Scout Report: Nessus — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches on Nessus for them and their fireteam.
- Scout Report: Io — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches on Io for them and their fireteam.
- Scout Report: Mercury — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches on Mercury for them and their fireteam.
- Scout Report: Hellas Basin — a consumable which gave the character a buff that highlighted nearby loot caches on Mars for them and their fireteam.
