The Dawning is a Legendary Quest. This quest serves as an introduction to the Dawning holiday event. It was originally added in the 2022 event, and was reused in the 2023 event.
1. The Dawning
Description
The Dawning has returned to the Tower. Seek out Eva Levante in the Courtyard to join the festivities.
Available only during the Dawning.

The Dawning
"Welcome to the Dawning, Guardian," Eva says. "At this time of year, the City joins together to celebrate and give thanks for all we have."She smiles. "And what's a celebration without some fresh-baked treats? Now, I can't do it all myself, so I'm going to lend you my Holiday Oven."
She clasps her hands in excitement. "Oh, I can't wait to see what you come up with! I think you should begin by baking a gift for our dear Commander Zavala."

3. The Dawning
Description
Open your Event Card and claim your first Event Challenge. The Event Card can be acessed from the Quests tab, or Eva's vendor screen.
Eva Levante asks you to check your Event Card for the Dawning. She says the objectives listed there will help you along your Dawning journey, and help you reconnect with old friends and acquaintances you may not have spoken to since last Dawning!
"The Dawning brings us all together, Guardian. Even those of us who have drifted apart over the last year," Eva says to you, gesturing to the bustling Tower around you.
"Take this moment and reach out to someone you miss, or someone who misses you," Eva says.
"We've even made these special cards to help old friends find each other again. Take a look, choose a card, and see where it leads you!"

Description
Return to Eva Levante to let her know Zavala has received his gift.
Available only during the Dawning.

"Did Zavala like his gift?" Eva asks, and then laughs. "Whether he said so or not, I assure you, he did."She smiles. "Go on, then. Spread some cheer. You'll discover even more ingredients and recipes on your travels. I'm sure you'll find what you need to make gifts for everyone on your list."
"Before you go, Guardian, I have a small gift for you. With this Dawning Spirit, I can give you a bit of an upgrade!"

Description
Return to Eva Levante in the Tower.
Only available during the Dawning.

The Dawning
Eva claps her hands together as you approach, causing a cloud of cinnamon-scented flour to puff into the air. "How wonderful, Guardian!" she says. "I can use the Dawning Spirit you collect to help spread holiday cheer much more efficiently."She nudges you. "What, you didn't think old Eva cared about things like maximizing productivity? Trust me, if I could spread Dawning cheer by baking one enormous cookie for the whole Tower instead of a hundred little ones, I would!"
The old woman sighs wistfully. "Maybe someday..."
"Anyway," she says and pats your Holiday Oven, "peek in there to see how much Dawning Spirit you've gathered, and let me know how you're coming along! Let's make this a Dawning to remember!"
