Opaque Card is an item from the Season of the Witch.
Acquisition
Opaque Cards can be obtained from various sources:
- Rewarded for progressing through Toil and Trouble and The Bladed Path seasonal story quests.
- Rewarded for completing certain Major Arcana quests from the Lectern of Divination.
- 4 Minor Arcana cards are rewarded for reaching ranks 7, 10, 13, and 16 with the Ritual Table.
- Found as collectibles in the Athenaeum at the H.E.L.M., Savathûn's Spire, and Altars of Summoning. Note that some cards in these activities require elemental attunements (either Arc, Solar, or Void), which can be obtained from Weeks 2, 4, and 6 of The Bladed Path quest.
- Drops when killing the Reclaimant of Savathûn Shrieker enemy that can appear during the final boss encounters in Savathûn's Spire.
- Random drops from completing Savathûn's Spire or Altars of Summoning activities.
- Random drops from completing various activities throughout the game.
Opaque Cards are not stored in the player's inventory. When a card is obtained, it will unlock a corresponding card at the Lectern of Divination.
Usage

Opaque Cards make up the Deck of Whispers. Once collected, their identities can be revealed at the Lectern of Divination in the Athenaeum at the H.E.L.M. There are 55 cards in the Deck of Whispers. 12 cards are Major Arcana, which each grant a quest. These quests reward cards that can be added to the player's deck using the pedestals in the Athenaeum, granting buffs in Savathûn's Spire and Altars of Summoning when drawn. Some quests also grant additional rewards, such as unlocking daily bounties at the Ritual Table. The other 43 cards are Minor Arcana, which grant various passive bonuses and other item rewards.
Each card that is obtained corresponds to a specific reward at the Lectern of Divination. Cards that have a lock icon on the Lectern grid cannot be obtained currently, either becoming available later in the season or after making progress in The Bladed Path seasonal story quest.
