Lucent Moths are collectible items found in Savathûn's Throne World, introduced in The Witch Queen.

Overview

Lucent Moths are small figurines that appear to be stylized depictions of the Lucent Moth Hive enemies.

When a moth is collected, it can be placed in the cave to the right of Fynch's location in the Quagmire. Their placement locations within the cave are marked by paper maps, which will give a hint to the sector where a given moth can be found. Collecting and mounting all unique Lucent Moths will complete the Lepidopterist triumph. Each moth will reward a page of the Lucent Tales lore book. Collecting a moth also gives +250 Throne World Rank with Fynch.

There are 10 Lucent Moths in total to be found. When the Witch Queen expansion originally released, only two moths could be found in the first week, with two moth locations being revealed in each subsequent week through the maps in Fynch's cave. All moths have been revealed, and they are no longer time-locked.

List

Alluring Curtain

This moth became available to collect in Week 2 after the release of the Witch Queen.[1]

The entrance to Alluring Curtain can be found in the south-east of the Quagmire. Travel through the area, activating Deepsight nodes to create platforms. Eventually, you will reach an outdoor area with a large fountain. A Wizard, Ir Olena, Moth Keeper, will be waiting with a group of Hive enemies. When the Wizard is killed, the moth will spawn where it died.

Altars of Reflection

This moth became available to collect in Week 5 after the release of the Witch Queen.[2]

This moth can be obtained from any activities that take place in an Altar of Reflection. After solving the initial puzzle to open the door, you will enter the boss room. From the entrance, there is a Deepsight node on the second level to the right of the entrance. Activating it will spawn platforms above the entrance, which lead to the moth. Standing on the back of the moth platform will teleport you with the "Joining Allies" prompt if you remain there for too long.

Apothecary

This moth became available to collect in Week 1 after the release of the Witch Queen.[3]

The Apothecary can be found by traveling through Alluring Curtain, past where that sector's moth was found. In the outdoor area, follow the walkway that circles around the main building. At the end will be a Deepsight node. Activating it will spawn 5 runes with Hive symbols in the immediate area. Shoot all of them to spawn the moth.

Court of Thorns

This moth became available to collect in Week 4 after the release of the Witch Queen.[4]

This moth is located in the Court of Thorns, which is east of the Florescent Canal. However, the section of the area where the moth is found cannot be accessed through the patrol zone, and can only be accessed during The Wellspring activity. In the Wellspring room, there are three side rooms. In the room to the right after entering, or to the left when facing the exit, there is a Hive statue holding the moth in its hand.

It is possible to obtain this moth in either The Wellspring: Attack or The Wellspring: Defend. However, in Attack, the room will become closed off by a forcefield when all three Wizards are killed. In Defend, the room will not be sealed off, and the player can enter it as long as they do not jump off the ledge leading to the final phase of the activity.

Florescent Canal

This moth became available to collect in Week 5 after the release of the Witch Queen.[2]

This moth can be found floating in the large fountain in the center of the area. It sits on a small platform that travels around the fountain in a circle.

Miasma

This moth became available to collect in Week 3 after the release of the Witch Queen.[5]

This moth is sitting on a branch of a tree on the north side of the area. The tree is east of the entrance to Witch's Echo, near where the Resonant Destruction public event flag spawns. Use the terrain to climb onto the tree.

Quagmire

This moth became available to collect in Week 1 after the release of the Witch Queen.[3]

On the north-east side of the area is a Deepsight node that leads to the entrance to the Extraction Lost Sector. From this node, turn right and enter a tunnel. A Wizard, Ubartu-ana, will spawn with a group of Hive enemies, guarding a green forcefield. Destroying the Wizard will remove the forcefield, allowing the moth to be collected.

Temple of the Cunning

This moth became available to collect in Week 2 after the release of the Witch Queen.[1]

To reach the Temple of the Cunning, enter the Temple of the Wrathful from the Quagmire. Use the orange portal to skip most of the area. Head to the left around the central temple building. You will reach a bridge, which leads into the Temple of the Cunning. After moving through some caves, you will reach a rectangular room with a circular platform in the center. The moth is sitting on a tilted pillar next to this platform.

Temple of the Wrathful

This moth became available to collect in Week 3 after the release of the Witch Queen.[5]

Enter the Temple of the Wrathful from the Quagmire. Use the orange portal to skip to the area where the moth is. To the right, the moth is locked inside an orange dome-shaped forcefield. A Chieftain, Captain Taksisaa, will spawn with a group of Scorn enemies. Destroying them will remove the forcefield, allowing the moth to be collected.

Witch's Echo

This moth became available to collect in Week 4 after the release of the Witch Queen.[4]

Enter Witch's Echo from Miasma. Do not enter the orange portal. Enter the tunnel on the left. You will reach an open room with a Deepsight node in the center. Activating it will cause a nearby wall to disappear, revealing the moth behind it.
