Boon of Opulence

Boon of Opulence is a Consumable item in Destiny 2 that was used to reduce the cost of Tributes in the Tribute Hall. Each Boon provides a 1% discount when delivered to the Visage of Calus.

Overview

Boons of Opulence were integral to the Bad Juju exotic quest system, allowing Guardians to progressively reduce the cost of Tributes needed to unlock the exotic weapon and fill the Tribute Hall. The system featured both daily limits and strategic optimization opportunities.

Acquisition

Boons of Opulence were earned by completing bounties from the Visage of Calus in the Tribute Hall. Available bounties included:

Bounty Types

• Kill 50 enemies without dying
• Kill 50 enemies in Strikes via precision damage without dying
• Kill 20 enemies in the Menagerie without dying
• Kill 40 enemies in Gambit without dying
• Bank 20 Motes in Gambit Prime without dying

Discount System

• Each Boon provides a 1% discount on all Tribute costs
• Maximum total discount: 80%
• Discount applies to all Tribute purchases in the Hall

Limitations

Daily Account Limit

• Maximum of 4 Boons can be earned per account per day
• This limit is account-wide, not per character
• Bounties completed beyond the daily limit only reward Glimmer

Storage Restrictions

• Maximum of 4 Boons can be held at once
• Includes both character inventory and Vault storage
• Having 4 Boons in storage prevents earning additional ones

Strategy

Optimal Usage

• Complete bounties on multiple characters before turning in
• Turn in all 4 Boons at once to maximize daily progress
• Plan bounty completion around daily reset times

Known Exploit (Patched)

Prior to the July 30 update, players discovered a method to exceed the daily limit:

• Complete bounties on multiple characters
• Time turn-ins around daily reset
• Could achieve up to 10% discount (10 Boons) in one day
• This exploit was patched and is no longer functional

Tribute Hall Integration

The Boon of Opulence system worked in conjunction with the Tribute Hall:

1. Earn Boons through bounties
2. Deliver to Visage of Calus
3. Receive cumulative discount on Tributes
4. Purchase Tributes at reduced cost
5. Progress toward Bad Juju catalyst and cosmetics
