Translation Issues
Some non-English versions incorrectly described the mod as requiring only enemy kills rather than specifically grenade kills, causing confusion among international players.
Current Status
- Deprecated: No longer functions in current game version
- Can be safely dismantled for materials
- Replaced by more universal ammo generation systems
Legacy
Hive Armaments represented the Season of Opulence's approach to enemy-specific mods, encouraging loadout customization based on activity enemies. This design philosophy influenced later seasonal mod systems.
Trivia
- One of the most sought-after mods during Season of Opulence
- Part of the "Armaments" mod family that included Taken and Fallen variants
- The grenade requirement made it more skill-based than later ammo mods
