XP++ is an experience reward tier designation in Destiny 2 that indicates a mid-to-high level of experience points granted upon completion of certain activities, primarily weekly bounties.

Overview
The XP system in Destiny 2 uses a tiered notation system to indicate the relative value of experience rewards. These tiers are represented by "XP" followed by varying numbers of plus signs (+), with more plus signs indicating greater experience rewards. XP++ represents the second-highest standard tier, typically associated with weekly bounties and moderate seasonal challenges.
XP Tier System
Standard Tiers
- XP - Base experience amount (lowest tier)
- XP+ - Increased experience amount
- XP++ - Significantly increased experience amount (mid-high tier)
- XP+++ - Maximum standard experience amount (highest tier)
Seasonal Challenge Tiers
Seasonal Challenges use a similar but separate tier system:
- Challenge XP - 25,000 XP
- Challenge XP+ - 50,000 XP
- Challenge XP++ - 75,000 XP
- Challenge XP+++ - 100,000+ XP

XP Bonuses and Modifiers

Well-Rested Buff
- Activates every Tuesday at weekly reset

Season Pass Bonuses
- Base Bonus: 20% XP increase immediately upon purchase
- Rank 76 Bonus: Total of 32% increased XP from all sources
- Shared Wisdom: Fireteam XP bonus from Season Pass owners
* Up to 8% bonus at rank 86 * Stacks with other bonuses
Ghost Shell Mods
- Blinding Light: 12% XP bonus (highest available)
- Guiding Light: 10% XP bonus
- Applies to all XP sources including bounties
Bonus Stacking
- All XP bonuses stack multiplicatively
- Maximum possible XP from a 12,000 XP++ bounty:
* Base: 12,000 XP * With all bonuses: ~35,000+ XP
Optimization Strategies
Bounty Stacking
- Save completed XP++ bounties until optimal conditions
- Turn in while in a Fireteam for Shared Wisdom bonus
- Ensure Well-Rested buff is active
- Equip Ghost mod with XP bonus
Weekly Planning
- Complete daily bounties throughout the week
- Save XP++ weekly bounties for reset day
- Maximize Well-Rested efficiency by planning level gains
Seasonal Considerations
- XP++ bounties remain valuable throughout the season
- Particularly important for reaching rank 100+ on Season Pass
- Essential for unlocking seasonal rewards and bonuses
