Echo Engrams are a type of Legendary Engram introduced in Destiny 2 during Episode: Echoes as part of The Final Shape expansion. These engrams contain Episode: Echoes gear and can be decoded at Failsafe in the H.E.L.M..

Overview

Echo Engrams function as loot containers that drop weapons and armor from the Episode: Echoes seasonal content. Unlike standard engrams, Echo Engrams are specifically tied to the episodic content and can be focused into specific gear types or items that have been previously acquired by the player.

Types

Echo Engrams can be focused into two main categories:

• Echo Weapon Engram - Contains Episode: Echoes weapons that have been previously acquired
• Echo Armor Engram - Contains Episode: Echoes armor pieces that have been previously acquired

Additionally, players can use Echo Engrams to focus specific Echo armor pieces or weapons they have already unlocked, allowing them to obtain different rolls and stat distributions.

• Breach Executable - The new episodic activity with the highest chance of dropping Echo Engrams from the final chest
• Failsafe Reputation - Ranking up with Failsafe provides Echo Engrams as rank rewards
• Season Pass - The 200-tier premium Season Pass can grant up to 29 Echo Engrams
• Specimen Deposits - After progressing through "A Rising Chorus: Act 1," players can deposit specimens at the H.E.L.M. for various rewards including Echo Engrams

Decoding Process

To decode Echo Engrams:

1. Complete the "Echoes Act 1: A Familiar Voice" quest
