Description Crucible reputation points earned from casual PvP matches

Valor Rank Points are the progression currency for casual Crucible activities in Destiny 2. Players earn Valor points by participating in non-competitive PvP playlists, with progress tracked through Lord Shaxx's vendor rank system.

Overview

Valor serves as the primary ranking system for casual Crucible modes, including Quickplay, Rumble, and Mayhem playlists. Unlike Glory, Valor points are earned from both wins and losses, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. The system encourages consistent play through activity streaks and offers rewards at each rank milestone.

Rank Structure

Six Major Ranks

The Valor system consists of 16 sub-ranks across six tiers:

  1. Guardian (I, II, III)
  2. Brave (I, II, III)
  3. Heroic (I, II, III)
  4. Fabled (I, II, III)
  5. Mythic (I, II, III)
  6. Legend (Single tier)

Point Requirements

  • Total points to max rank: 10,000
  • Points earned vary by:
 * Win or loss
 * Activity streak bonus
 * Double Valor events

Earning Valor

Match Completion

  • Losses: Still award points (unlike Glory)
  • Mercy Rule: Full points regardless
