Nightfall Cipher (Adept) is a Currency added in the Season of Defiance. It has a maximum capacity of 10.

[hide]Acquisition
Adept Nightfall Ciphers are obtained as drops from Grandmaster Nightfalls. The amount that drops is based on the player's rating for defeating Champions during the activity:
- Earning a Platinum rating, defeating all Champions that spawn, will drop 2 Ciphers;
- A Gold rating will drop 1 Cipher;
- A Silver rating will drop 0 Ciphers.[1]
Season of the Wish
2 Nightfall Ciphers will drop from the chest in the center of the Chamber of Wishes in The Coil. The portal to the Chamber of Wishes is opened by completing a full Coil run (four pathways) with enough points (around 150,000).
Usage
Adept Nightfall Ciphers can be used to focus Adept Nightfall weapons at Commander Zavala through the Focused Decoding sub-menu. The Adept version of the current weekly Nightfall weapon will be the only Adept weapon available to focus at a given time. 10 Ciphers, along with 5 
Vanguard Engrams and 
50,000, are needed to purchase a copy of the weapon.
