Malfeasance is an Exotic Quest. It originally required ownership of the Forsaken expansion to obtain, but is now free to all players.[1]

Description
Defeat a Primeval found within Gambit.
Objectives
Primeval defeated: 1
Notes
- While Malfeasance is listed as the quest's reward, the player actually receives the Darkness in the Light quest, which gives the weapon upon completion.
- This step originally required the player to defeat the Ascendant Primeval Servitor boss in Gambit. With that boss's removal in Version 4.0.0.1[2], this step was changed to require defeating any Primeval boss.

- Primeval Servitor variant has been removed from Gambit.
- Malfeasance quest will now be granted on any Primeval kill.
- 2.8.0[1]
- The Malfeasance exotic quest Darkness in the Light no longer requires owning the Forsaken expansion. Players who pick-up the New Light Malfeasance Intro quest will now be awarded "Darkness In the Light" upon killing the Ascendant Primeval Servitor boss.
