The Scythe is a Relic weapon added in the Season of the Haunted.

Overview

The Scythe is a Solar melee weapon that appears in activities on the Derelict Leviathan. It usually appears when a player deposits a Core of Dread. This is possible during the Nightmare Containment public event (dropped by Dread Bearers), in the Royal Pools and Pleasure Gardens patrol sectors (dropped by Core Bearers), and in Sever missions. Like other Relics, picking up a Scythe will change the player's view to third-person and restrict their actions to the Scythe's moveset. The Scythe has a limited amount of energy, and will disappear when it runs out.

Moveset

• Light Attack:
  • 4-hit combo.
  • The light attack does melee damage to nearby targets.
  • Attacks launch a Solar projectile. The projectile Scorches enemies (30+20 stacks) and deals damage.
• Mid-Air Light Attack: Launch a single Solar projectile with a spinning slice.
• Heavy Attack:
  • Slam the Scythe onto the ground, sending out a fan-shaped wave of fire.
  • Enemies hit by the heavy attack are Scorched (50+40 stacks) and take damage.
• Scythe Perk: Defeating enemies with the Scythe spawns orbs of healing Solar light that float to the wielder, granting Restoration +2.
• Switch Weapon: Attempting to switch weapons will drop the Scythe.
