Description Reduces incoming damage from rank-and-file enemies (Deprecated)

Minor Resist is a deprecated Legendary Armor Mod in Destiny 2 that previously reduced incoming damage from minor-tier enemies when equipped on Chest Armor.

Overview

Minor Resist was a damage reduction mod that provided protection against attacks from minor enemies (standard red-bar enemies). This mod has been deprecated and no longer functions in the current version of Destiny 2. Players who have this mod equipped should replace it with another mod.

Previous Effects

When functional, Minor Resist provided:

  • 10% damage reduction from minor-tier enemies (approximately 9.26% based on community testing)
  • Stacking behavior with diminishing returns:

x1 - 10.00% x2 - 17.86% x3 - 23.58% x4 - 27.16% x5 - 30.00%

Enemy Classification

For the purposes of this mod, the following enemies were considered "Minor" tier:

  • Standard enemies with red health bars
  • Rank-and-file combatants
  • Basic Fallen, Hive, Vex, Cabal, Taken, and Scorn units
  • Most common enemies encountered in patrol zones and activities

Previous Usage

When functional, Minor Resist was considered one of the most practical resistance mods because:

  • Players typically take the most damage from numerous minor enemies
  • Minor enemies appear in the highest quantities in most activities
  • The cumulative damage from many small hits often exceeded damage from fewer major/boss enemies

Deprecation

As part of armor mod system updates, Minor Resist has been deprecated and no longer provides any benefit. The in-game description states: "This mod has been deprecated and no longer functions. You may replace it with another mod."

Players looking for damage resistance should consider:

History

Minor Resist was part of the original Armor 2.0 mod system introduced with the Shadowkeep expansion. It was later deprecated as Bungie reworked the damage resistance system to provide more meaningful choices for players.
