Lighting the Dark is the 4th mission for the Enemy of My Enemy World Quest.

Preparation

Recommended Power: 220


Equipment recommendations:

  • Prepare weapons suitable for fighting the Fallen you will encounter (rapid-firing rifles and hand cannons, for example).
  • When this mission ends, the next one will begin immediately, so prepare for a long fight.

Walkthrough

Follow your objective marker and begin your quest to find the reactor. Start by heading for the two-story computer room at the southwest corner of the main rig platform. Take either of the two upper entrances and move on to the Solarium. You will be met by some Marauders. Kill them and access the wall terminal.

Once you're done, fight your way across the exterior of the main platform towards a second computer room to the right of the sunken ramp that leads towards the blocked bridge entrance. Once inside the room, eliminate the six Shanks that are waiting for you inside and find the second wall terminal. Prepare to fight six more Shanks and hack the terminal with Ghost.

Exit the room and go across the bridge through the small room. Enter the Solarium and go up to the gantries, where you will have to kill some Dregs behind the damaged LED panel. Once they're dead, keep moving in direction of the Festering Halls.

You will see two Hive Ogres, some Acolytes, and a Warden Servitor fighting against different Fallen. Ignore them and move clockwise around the perimeter. You will come across a Servitor guarding an energy barrier. Kill it and the barrier will fall, giving you access to the Festering Halls.

Keep in mind that during the quest, the Festering Halls will be a Restricted Zone.

Once you enter, you will come across a group of Dregs fighting some Acolytes. Eliminate them both and drop through the hole in the floor onto a checkpoint. You will come across some more Dregs and Acolytes, so make sure you take care of them. At this point, you can go ahead and use the pedestal console, but keep in mind that you will be attacked by Thralls as soon as you do. When the energy wall drops, eliminate the Thralls, then sweep the area for any remaining Thralls or Acolytes.

Keep moving forward and you will come across an energy wall with a Fallen Captain and some lesser foes behind it. Pay them no attention and turn the reactor on by accessing another pedestal console.

This will end the mission, but if the Fallen Captain is freed, make sure you reach the reactor before him.
