Equipment recommendations:

  • It's recommended to have a variety of weapons that will give you the edge in close-quarter combat, long-range sniping, and shield draining.

Walkthrough

Follow your objective marker towards the gantry platforms near the broken LED panel. Then, enter the Solarium. You will be greeted by some Fallen ships that are dropping off some Dregs and a Heavy Shank. Deal with them, but don't waste any time doing so. Your main priority is to go through the green door towards the Arboretum.

You will come across six Marauders and a Servitor that you will have to deal with. Once the Servitor is downed, the barrier preventing further progress will drop and you will be able to move on. Follow the corridors until you reach the Arboretum.

When you reach a pink-lit corridor, you will have to deal with a Warden Servitor that's guarding an energy barrier and some lesser Fallen. Deal with the weaker foes first, then drop the Servitor. Once he's dead, the barrier will fall and you will be able to continue.

Enter the main hall carefully. You don't want to draw all the fire to yourself at once since there will be some Hive Acolytes and a Wizard, along with a number of Dregs and Vandals. Deal with the Wizard first, then proceed to the left and dispatch of any Vandals you come across on your way to the stairwell.

Next, you will encounter some Thrall Exploders. They are pretty quick on their feet, so make sure to keep your distance and engage them from long range. Focus your fire on the Exploders and make sure to stay away from them when they're about to die. Once the last Exploder is dead, clear the remaining enemies and drop down to The Pit.

Move towards the tunnel covered in Hive goo. It's full of laser traps, so make sure to take care of those and don't rush your progress. Moving into the tunnel, you will have to deal with some Dregs, so keep your guard up. Further down, there will be more laser traps, Wretches, and Shanks. Slow down until you eliminate them, then keep moving. You will come across a Servitor that's guarding an energy barrier. Kill it and the barrier will drop, so you will be able to push on. A good shotgun or another close-quarter weapon should make short work of him.

Moving forward, you will come across some Vandal snipers, so be ready to engage at long range. Fight your way through the plaza and when a group of Exploder Shanks spawns, kill them as soon as possible. The faster you are, the more likely it is for the whole group to explode. Then, deal with the remaining Fallen, including a Servitor that's guarding yet another energy barrier.

Once the new barrier is dropped, proceed to the lower mezzanine. You will be met by two Servitors and two Shanks. Focus on the Servitors first, since they're protecting the Shanks. Once they're all dead, the next barrier will drop and you will be free to move on.

Taking the stairs down, you will come across an Elite Servitor with three segments of health. Stay in cover and stay alive. Once the first segment of health is gone, a group of Exploder Shanks will spawn and the Servitor will teleport a bit further away. Deal with the Shanks from a distance and chase after the Servitor. This will repeat for the second portion of health too. Once the Servitor is killed, a group of Exploder Shanks will spawn behind you, so be quick to turn and keep your distance until they're dead.

Keep moving down and you will come across some Acolytes and Thralls fighting against Exploder Shanks and Dregs. Stay back and let them battle it out, then wipe out what's left of the winning side. Head right, into the reactor room entrance. You will have to deal with some Dreg and Exploder Shanks before you move on.

Once they're down, you can go on. In the reactor room itself, a Hive Elite Knight will be fighting the Fallen Captain. Let them fight, then step in once one of them is dead. Rapid-firing weapons can be of great use here.

When both the Captain and the Knight are killed, pick up the reactor to finish the mission.

It is not required to kill the captain as if you kill the knight the captain will give you the reactor.
