Hard Evidence is a Legendary Quest. It is a side quest in The Witch Queen. This quest unlocks access to the Hidden Report quests on the Evidence Board in the Enclave.
This quest can only be completed once per account. Subsequent characters will not receive the quest from Fynch and will automatically have access to the Evidence Board.
1. Hard Evidence
Description
Bring the Osmic Fragment to the Hidden in the Enclave.
Fynch is convinced this fragment is evidence of a shady Lucent Brood plot. He insists you take it back to the Hidden.
"It's Osmium; the stuff's all over the Throne World. Gotta be something else about this little chunk getting the Lucent Brood so agitated." —Fynch

Description
Search Quagmire for a sample to match the Osmic Fragment.
Ghost has picked up a promising signal in Quagmire. Searching there should turn up a sample for analysis.

According to Fynch, this fragment is evidence of a sinister Lucent Brood plot. It pulses mysteriously. Submit it to the Evidence Board to learn more.
