Flame, Fiber, and Freeze is an Artifact Perk.

Acquisition

Unlocked on tier 2 of the Queensfoil Censer Seasonal Artifact during Season of the Wish.

Usage

While this perk is unlocked, it provides access to two hybrid helmet Siphon mods that combine multiple elemental siphon effects into single mods. This allows for more efficient mod slotting and energy usage.

Created Mods

This perk unlocks two new armor mods:

Mod Properties

  • Energy Cost: 3 energy per mod
  • Mod Slot: Helmet armor only
  • Effect: Rapid weapon final blows with weapons matching either element create an Orb of Power
  • Stacking: Multiple copies increase Super energy gained from created Orbs

Siphon Mod Functionality

Siphon mods create Orbs of Power when achieving rapid final blows with matching elemental weapons:

  • Requires multiple rapid kills (usually 2-3) to generate an Orb
  • Created Orbs grant Super energy to you and nearby allies
  • The hybrid nature means kills with either element count toward Orb generation

Build Advantages

Efficiency Benefits

  • Saves helmet mod slots by combining two siphon effects
  • Reduces total energy cost compared to running separate siphon mods
  • Allows room for additional helmet mods like Hands-On or Ashes to Assets

Elemental Flexibility

  • Supports builds using mixed elemental weapons
  • Particularly valuable for Prismatic subclass preparation
  • Enables seamless weapon swapping between covered elements

Season of the Wish Synergies

The artifact's focus on Solar, Strand, and Stasis made this perk especially valuable:

Strategic Applications

  • Orb Generation: Reliable Orb creation for team support
  • Super Economy: Faster Super generation through increased Orb value
  • Build Diversity: Supports multi-element loadouts without mod compromise
  • Endgame Utility: Valuable in activities requiring frequent Super usage

Notes

  • The perk does not create a Strand/Stasis hybrid mod
  • Each hybrid mod still requires the standard 3 energy cost
  • Orb generation cooldown applies separately to each element
  • Particularly effective with weapons that can roll with elemental damage perks
