Excavation Site II is, under regular circumstances, a partially inaccessible Sector in Echo Mesa, Io. The Sector can be accessed in full only while the Story Mission Fury is active.
Points of Interest
- Exit to Giant's Scar: This is the only way in and out of Excavation Site II. It can be found on the southwestern end of the lower floor. It is a narrow tunnel that leads towards Giant's Scar.
- Main Storage Room: This chamber will be the first players will encounter. To the north, there is a blocked corridor and to the east - the Ramped Corridor. Expect heavy Taken resistance in this chamber.
- Ramped Corridor: This is the only connection players can use to reach the upper floor of the Sector. It is an L-shaped corridor in the southeastern end of the lower floor.
- Upper Storage Room: This room is extremely similar to the Main Storage room. Entering it from the Ramped Corridor will present you with an exit door in the opposite corner and a bunch of Taken to deal with.
- Override Terminal Romm: This is the final area that players can access without having the Story Mission Fury active. It will be full of enemies, but due to the room's small size, they should be easily beaten by grenades and close-quarter weapons. In this room, there is also a terminal that can only be accessed during the Story Mission.
- Elevator Shaft: This area is usually off-limits for players unless the Story Mission Fury is active. It is only a location you need to traverse to reach the final area of the Sector.
- Rock Floor Storage Room: This area is usually off-limits for players unless the Story Mission Fury is active. It will lead players back to the Main Storage Room.
Scannable Objects
- There is a scannable object in the Main Storage Room. It is located in the northeastern corner of the chamber.
- In the southwestern corner of the Upper Storage Room, there is a scannable object.
- In the Override Terminal Room, players can find a third scannable object. It is on the southern end of the room.
Enemies
- The entire area will be crawling with Taken enemies and there will be at least one cluster in each chamber.
