| Description | Upgrades this weapon to a Masterwork. Once upgraded, the weapon will obtain enhanced capabilities such as increased stats and/or additional perks. Defeat combatants while using this weapon in Arc, Solar, and Void modes to unlock this upgrade. Defeating combatants in the Throne World, PsiOps Battlegrounds, or the "Vox Obscura" Exotic quest will unlock these objectives faster. Defeating Champions provides bonus progress to all 3 objectives. |

Dead Messenger Catalyst is the Catalyst of Dead Messenger. It gives Dead Messenger the Turnabout perk.
Perks
Turnabout - Using this weapon to break the shield of a combatant or a Guardian using their Super will grant you an overshield.
Acquisition
This item is obtained by completing the Vox Revelata quest.
Its upgrade is unlocked by completing the following objectives:
- 200 Arc mode kills
- 200 Solar mode kills
- 200 Void mode kills
Defeating combatants in the Throne World, PsiOps Battlegrounds, or the Vox Obscura Exotic quest will provide additional progress. Defeating Champions provides bonus progress to all 3 objectives.
