Information

The Verdant Forest is a limited-time PvE activity in Destiny 2 that serves as the centerpiece of The Revelry spring event. This activity transforms the Infinite Forest on Mercury into a vibrant, nature-themed combat arena where Guardians race against time to clear as many branches as possible.

Overview

The Verdant Forest reimagines the Vex Infinite Forest with spring colors and themes, creating a randomly generated dungeon experience similar to the Haunted Forest from Festival of the Lost. Unlike its Halloween counterpart, the Verdant Forest features bright, verdant environments filled with plant life and springtime aesthetics.

Activity Mechanics

Branch Progression

  • Each arena is called a "branch"
  • Branches contain powerful red-bar enemies that must be defeated
  • Clearing branches opens paths to new areas
  • No limit to the number of branches a skilled team can clear

Time System

The Verdant Forest uses a unique time management system:

  • Every enemy killed adds time to the match timer
  • Each branch completed adds time to the final boss phase
  • Opening hidden chests grants 8 seconds per player (24 seconds for full fireteam)
  • Strategic time management is crucial for maximizing rewards

Boss Phase

  • After the timer expires, players teleport to the boss arena
  • Face 5 different bosses in sequence
  • Time remaining determines how many bosses can be defeated
  • Each boss defeated increases Reveler's Essence rewards

Access Requirements

  • Available during The Revelry event only
  • Power Level requirement: 200 (accessible to all players)
  • Accessed from the Tower map in the Director
  • Matchmaking enabled for solo players
  • Option to run solo without matchmaking

Rewards

Primary Rewards

 * ~35 Essence for defeating all 5 bosses
 * Additional amounts from chests and enemies
  • Inaugural Revelry Armor Set: Event-exclusive armor
 * Drops from bosses in the final arena
 * Full set available across multiple runs

Hidden Treasures

  • Vex statues containing treasure chests
  • Located in optional side areas of cleared branches
