Description
Aiming this weapon increases its effective range and zoom magnification. Increased projectile velocity while aiming Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers.
Buff
Rangefinder does not provide any bonus to the Range stat. All gains to a weapon's effective range is purely through zoom magnification.[2]
Example
Consider a Weapon with 22 Zoom and Rangefinder.
This Weapon has a base zoom magnification of 2.2x.
Rangefinder adds an extra 10% or 0.22x zoom.
The weapon's effective zoom is therefore 2.42x.
