Polymorphic Shellcode is a Legendary Consumable added in Lightfall. Only one can be held at a time.
Acquisition
A Polymorphic Shellcode is rewarded from Nimbus's Vex Incursion Countermeasures weekly bounty. The player must complete the Lightfall campaign, as well as the Bluejay quest from Quinn Laghari, to be able to purchase this bounty.
Usage
The Polymorphic Shellcode can be used to access the weekly Partition mission, which is marked on the Neomuna map. The entrance is a Vex portal found within the current Vex Incursion Zone. The player can interact with the portal if they have a Shellcode, which will display the mission launch screen. After completing the mission for the first time in the current week, it can be replayed at no cost until the week ends.
A different Partition mission will be available depending on where the Vex Incursion Zone is located: Hard Reset in Límíng Harbor, Backdoor in Zephyr Concourse, and Ordnance in Ahimsa Park. The Vex Incursion Zone and its associated mission rotate weekly, in that order.
