Excision

Excision is a 12-player matchmade activity in Destiny 2 and the climactic finale of The Final Shape. It is the franchise's first activity built for twelve Guardians at once.

Overview

In Excision, three fireteams of Guardians join the Vanguard and their allies — including Savathûn — in an all-out assault on the Witness within The Pale Heart. Players fight through waves of enemies and capture zones to bring down the Witness's shield, then channel the Light to strike the final blow. The activity is matchmade and becomes available after completing the Final Shape campaign. The first completion rewards a random Exotic, with repeat completions granting reputation and other loot.
