Creeping Chill is an Artifact Perk.
Acquisition
Unlocked on tier 3 of the Hunter's Journal Seasonal Artifact during Episode: Echoes.
Usage
Stasis weapon final blows against slowed or frozen targets release a burst that slows nearby enemies. This creates a chain reaction effect where killing enemies affected by Stasis crowd control spreads the slow effect to additional targets.
Effect Details
- Requires targets to be slowed or frozen before the final blow
- The burst has an area of effect that can affect multiple nearby enemies
- Only triggers with Stasis damage type weapons
- The slow burst helps maintain crowd control in enemy-dense situations
Synergies
- Works exceptionally well with Stasis subclasses that can easily slow or freeze targets
- Pairs with Whisper of Hedrons for increased weapon damage against frozen targets
- Synergizes with Void Hegemony for constant triggering and buff generation
- Effective with high rate-of-fire Stasis weapons for rapid chain reactions
- Complements freeze-focused builds and fragments
Notes
- Only Stasis weapons can trigger this effect - kinetic and other elemental weapons will not work
- The perk encourages aggressive play against groups of enemies
- Part of the tier 3 perks in the Hunter's Journal artifact, requiring 5 perks from previous tiers to unlock
- Particularly effective in activities with high enemy density
